Marc "Drew" Gordon Scholarship

(1 available) Must attend Chandler High School

Established in memory of Mark “Drew” Gordon, a nearly straight-A student at Chandler High School, a member of the school swim team, and a junior ROTC member, who was killed in a car accident on Christmas Eve in 2004. Drew was described as "a constant source of laughter," who had a natural compassion for people in need. He had hoped to go into medicine after graduation.

The Mark “Drew” Gordon Scholarship was founded through a donation made to the Chandler Swim and Dive Boosters group. The scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who has been a member of the Chandler High School Swim and Dive program for a minimum of one year, with at least one year of participation being in his or her senior year. The scholarship is awarded to a swimmer or diver who has demonstrated outstanding personal and/or athletic growth, exhibits exemplary character, and has contributed to the success of the team.
